2005 Year In Review
Another year is in the books and what a year it has been. The wireless data industry now has all the trappings of one poised for rapid growth: experts and pundits and "best practices"
Happy holidays from your friends at Aeroprise!
(oh my). To quote a wise man (Dr. Seuss, "Oh, The Places You'll Go"):

"With your head full of brains and your shoes full of feet,
you're too smart to go down any not-so-good street."

We've encountered many a dead end these past few years but like infants who finally walk we've toddled our way to smarter decisions... by falling down a lot first. You, our customers and partners, have taught us important lessons - like nothing else really matters except the end-user experience, wireless security is more procedural than technical, and
devices and bandwidth are less important than cultivating new user behaviors.

2006 will be a year when all wireless projects benefit from stronger networks, more capable devices, and cheaper data plans. More importantly, it will be a year when wireless data is more accessible to the elusive mainstream user. You'll see more 'Yes' decisions made to avoid falling behind than 'No' decisions made to avoid risk. Look for carriers to offer hosted business applications, mobile messaging to get pushed down the org. chart, and handheld devices, like laptops before them, to be developed and marketed more aggressively to business users.

It has been an exciting year at Aeroprise! We'd like to welcome the customers who joined our family in 2005. Our team is growing, our products are breaking new ground every day, and we're all still committed to one single goal: building the best mobile solutions in the world to help you exceed your expectations.

In the coming year, we'll be inviting selected customers to participate in a series of user groups to help us learn from you and to help you learn from each other. We'll also be releasing a series of great new products to help you get more out of Aeroprise. From one wireless enthusiast to another, we know you're going to love what we're developing in the lab!

Above all, we're writing to thank you for helping us grow and for giving us the opportunity to help you succeed. We look forward to an exciting 2006 and we wish you a happy, healthy holiday season and a wireless new year!

From our family to yours,

Team Aeroprise

Index of Wireless Activity
IOWA ends 2005 on a sour note, down another 8.2% to close the year at 179.8. Wireless stock prices contributed significantly to the decline. RIM's pending litigation with patent-holder NTP weighed its shares down 6% this month and 41% since its high for the year of $87.95 per share.

In more positive wireless news, the M&A market remains robust. Notable December deals include Sprint Nextel's spectrum grab acquisition of Enterprise Communications and Vodafone's acquisition of Telsim, the second largest carrier in Turkey.

Tip of the Month: No More Conflicts
You and your device go out of coverage to fix a problem. What happens when your changes contradict ones someone else made while you were offline? You have a merging conflict. What now?

Here's what will happen: the Conflict Report in your Main Menu will show a list of all merging conflicts related to your offline work. Pull up the report and you'll see a description of each conflict. You can also decide whether to keep or override the other changes. If only resolving all the other conflicts in your life was this easy.
