Four Devices You Want Right Now
As you might imagine, we're passionate (some say "fanatical") about all things mobile and wireless. One of the healthier byproducts of our zeal is that we spend an
inordinate amount of time analyzing, evaluating, and testing new devices. In this month's newsletter, we share four of the coolest new devices we've seen in our annual hardware review.

We know your mobile software decision is easy (we hear that "no one ever got fired..." adage about IBM holds true for Aeroprise also). Read on to make your hardware decision just as easy. If that isn't motivation enough, we promise you'll get a leg up on the tough conversation with your manager when you're justifying that massive increase to your '06 wireless budget.

Tip of the Month: Network-Dependent Alerts With Device Profiles

Did you know your Aeroprise alerts are delivered based on the wireless network and carrier you use? Different networks support different alert types. For instance, BlackBerry users can have two-way alerts pushed through their BES, phone users in the US can receive WAP alerts while many international users elect to receive SMS or MMS alerts.

Here's what you do to modify your alert type: select 'Device Profiles' from the 'Actions' list in your Administration Console. The profiles you see are automatically populated as your users use Aeroprise from their mobile devices. Information about the devices, their capabilities, and the network they're using is detected and transmitted to your Mobile Gateway. When you receive an alert you get just the information you need tailored to the devices you're using. When you need to make a change, all of the information used to deliver the alerts is available in real-time from your Device Profiles report.
